Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 update, version 24H2, is causing trouble for some Ubisoft games. After installing this update, we might find that certain games become unresponsive during startup, loading, or gameplay. In some cases, the screen may go black.
The affected games include ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’, ‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’, ‘Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’, ‘Star Wars Outlaws’, and ‘Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’. Ubisoft has released a temporary fix for ‘Star Wars Outlaws’ to prevent crashes, but performance issues might still occur. A permanent solution is in the works.
The Windows 11 24H2 update is rolling out gradually and will reach all eligible devices in the coming weeks. Once available, it will download and install automatically.
In other news, Ubisoft has addressed rumors about the ‘Assassin’s Creed Animus’ hub and announced that ‘Project U’ is being re-evaluated after five years of development.
