‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3 Gets Official Trailer

Showtime’s hit series Yellowjackets is gearing up for a thrilling return with its third season, premiering with two episodes on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Paramount+ subscribers with the Showtime plan can stream the episodes early, with the traditional on-air premiere set for February 16 at 8 p.m.
The intense survival-horror drama follows the harrowing journey of a high school soccer team after their plane crashes in the wilderness. Stranded for 19 months, they face unthinkable challenges, including resorting to cannibalism. The show’s dual timelines—set in 1996 during the crash and in 2021 with the adult survivors—explore the psychological scars and dark secrets that continue to haunt them.
Season three’s official logline teases more turmoil: “As summer arrives, the Yellowjackets face a fragile victory—the brutal winter that nearly claimed them is finally behind them, but distrust in leadership and tension within the team jeopardize their chances of being rescued.
In the present, long-buried secrets begin to surface, forcing the women to confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other and themselves?”
The trailer, set to Drowning Pool’s “Bodies,” hints at a season packed with violence, paranoia, and haunting flashbacks. Highlights include a visit from Jackie (Ella Purnell), who became the group’s first tragic feast, and new mysteries surrounding Coach’s potential involvement in burning their shelter. The survivors’ collective mania escalates as horrors from the wilderness resurface in their present lives.
Returning cast members include Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell, among others. Newcomers Hilary Swank and Joel McHale join the ensemble, adding fresh intrigue to the present-day timeline. Melanie Lynskey, who won a Critics Choice Award for her performance, delivers a chilling line in the trailer: “The only way to truly be safe is to be the only one left.”
The show’s creators, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, along with Jonathan Lisco, Drew Comins, and other executive producers, continue to helm the series. Produced by Lionsgate Television, Yellowjackets has captivated audiences with its blend of horror, suspense, and deeply human drama.
