Zachary Levi’s Trump Endorsment Disappoints Fans

You might have heard it – or not – but Hollywood actor Zachary Levi, probably best known for portraying the superhero Shazam in the DCEU, has recently endorsed GOP candidate Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

After some – obviously more relevant – celebrities, like Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence, supported Kamala Harris, Levi has now joined a list of mostly controversial and not-so-relevant celebs who have supported Trump, including but not limited to Roseanne Barr, Russell Brand, Jim Caviezel, Kelsey Grammer, Rob Schneider, Jon Voight, and James Woods.

And while Levi said that he initially endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently withdrew from the elections and told the people to vote for Trump, now that RFK Jr. is out, Levi – naturally(?) – joined Trump’s campaign as a celebrity endorser.

We don’t know why he decided to openly support Trump and how much of his own political views align with Trump’s views, but this act of endorsement actually brought Levi a lot of problems, as the fans are bitterly disappointed by his actions, some going so far as to claim that the actor just killed his career.

To be frank, Levi is not an A-list actor. He had a solid outing in Shazam! (the second one was horrible as it is), he made a name for himself in Chuck, and aside from that, we cannot really list any major projects there. Sure, there were more or less successful ones down the road, but Zachary Levi is not Robert Downey Jr. or Michael Keaton, so he’s not really an A-list name.

Still, celebrity endorsements are a thing in politics, so whatever a politician can get is usually good because each celeb has a fanbase that they could potentially mobilize to go to an election. And while the fans are outraged, this shouldn’t come as a surprise if you remember one of his 2020 tweets:

This seems like a poor attempt at trying to justify something you did that you did not like, and one of the fans had a great comment about this back at the time:

As stated, Levi now openly supports Trump, which is something he has the right to do, but it seems that a lot of his fans don’t like that and that he will be losing a significant portion of them in the future:
