50 Cent Delivers Hilarious Jab at ‘Stranger Things’ Creators While Diddy Docuseries Rules Netflix
50 Cent is celebrating the success of his new Netflix docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs, and he didn’t hold back from taking a playful jab at Stranger Things.
The rapper and producer shared posts on Instagram highlighting his work on Sean Combs: The Reckoning and poked fun at Netflix’s hit sci-fi show. One post included a picture card that read, “I know Stranger Things is pissed they spent $500M on this season, only to be beat by Diddy doing stranger things 😢😢.”
In another post, 50 Cent showed himself in what looked like a Netflix boardroom, joking about the popularity of his series. “This is my 3rd meeting today at Netflix, look guy I know you spent a lot of money on Stranger Things but it can’t f**** with me. I’m #1 in 43 countries and #2 in 8 others just facts,” he wrote.

While his numbers may have been slightly exaggerated, the docuseries has performed strongly on Netflix. Sean Combs: The Reckoning premiered on December 2 and drew 21.8 million views in its first six days, according to Variety. This is particularly impressive because Netflix announced the series just a week before release, and the project faced legal challenges from Diddy’s team.

50 Cent has a long history with Diddy, which made his involvement in the docuseries controversial. Speaking to Good Morning America, he explained why he took on the project. “If I didn’t say anything, you would interpret it as hip-hop is fine with his behaviours,” he said.
He added that most in the industry avoided the topic, leaving the culture to silently accept what was happening. “There’s no one else being vocal. So, you would look at it and just say … ‘mind your business,’ or ‘lemme not say nothin’ about nothin’,’ or those things that would allow an entire culture to register as if they’re for that behaviour.”
Even though 50 Cent’s remarks were playful, the docuseries’ success demonstrates that a focused, high-profile project can still capture viewers’ attention, even against a global Netflix phenomenon.
It’s fascinating to see hip-hop legends like 50 Cent and Diddy turning real-life rivalries into major media events. What do you think about 50 Cent’s bold Instagram jabs at Stranger Things? Share your thoughts in the comments.
