50 Cent is hoping to work with Eminem again, this time for a movie soundtrack. The rapper revealed that he wants Eminem to create new music for the upcoming Street Fighter film, where 50 Cent will play the fighter Balrog.

Over the weekend, he shared his plan on Instagram, writing, “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter. New music on the way!” While nothing has been confirmed, their long history of collaborations makes the idea believable.

This announcement comes while 50 Cent is staying busy in other projects. He has recently been in the spotlight for Netflix’s docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Despite past tensions with Diddy, 50 Cent told GQ that he was not involved in making the series and said, “There’s no place for me, I didn’t make the docuseries. I got the best possible people to make one. That’s why you don’t feel anybody’s energy when watching.”

Street Fighter is a reboot of the live-action film series based on the popular video game by Capcom.

The movie is directed by Kitao Sakurai and written by Dalan Musson. It is the third live-action film adaptation of the franchise and the fourth live-action feature overall. The film has a large cast, including Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Orville Peck as Vega, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, and Kyle Mooney as Marvin.

Legendary Entertainment acquired the rights to the live-action Street Fighter films in April 2023, and the movie went through a few director changes before Sakurai joined in early 2025.

Casting started earlier this year, and filming took place from August to November. Paramount Pictures will release the film in the United States on October 16, 2026, with IMAX screenings available.

The story takes place in 1993. Ryu and Ken, played by Koji and Centineo, are pulled back into fighting when Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. Behind the tournament is a dangerous plot that forces the fighters to confront each other and their pasts. According to Paramount Pictures, “If they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
