What is Invisible City about? 

Invisible City is a Brazilian supernatural drama series that premiered on Netflix in 2021. The first season consists of 7 episodes. The series follows the story of Eric (Marco Pigossi), a Brazilian environmental police officer who is investigating the death of his wife, Gabriela (Julia Konrad). Gabriela was killed by an animal that is believed to be extinct in the forests of Rio de Janeiro. As Eric digs deeper into Gabriela’s death, he discovers a hidden world of mystical creatures from Brazilian folklore, including the Curupira, the Saci, and the Iara.

Eric also meets a group of individuals who are fighting to protect these creatures from being exploited by humans, including Ines (Alessandra Negrini), a powerful shaman who becomes Eric’s guide in this world, and Camila (Jessica Córes), a young journalist who is investigating the same case as Eric.

In the teaser, we see Eric being brought back to life in the nature reserve, Belém do Pará. We can also see his daughter Luna (Manuela Dieguez) and Inês (Alessandra Negrini) preparing for action. It seems that the second season will involve a war between indigenous people and the prospectors that wish to claim Belém do Pará for their business ventures.
