‘Hit-Monkey’ is an animated TV series on Hulu, based on a Marvel Comics character, and it’s considered one of Marvel’s best projects so far. It was created by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, with the first season produced by Marvel Television and the second by 20th Television Animation.

The main cast includes Ally Maki, Olivia Munn, Fred Tatasciore, and Jason Sudeikis, with additional actors like Nobi Nakanishi, George Takei, and Leslie Jones. The series was announced in February 2019 as part of a lineup of Marvel shows leading to a crossover special called ‘The Offenders.’ Oversight of the series shifted from Marvel Television to Marvel Studios in December 2019.

The first season of the show began airing in November 2021, and since then, some time has passed. We previously mentioned that season 2 was in development, and now we have an update. Hulu has revealed its spring and summer lineup, confirming that ‘Hit-Monkey’ season 2 will premiere on July 15, 2024. The new season will feature 10 episodes, all set to be released at once on July 15th.

‘Hit-Monkey’ tells the tale of a vengeful Japanese macaque, guided by the spirit of an American hitman. Together, they navigate Tokyo’s underworld before heading to New York City. The main cast features Ally Maki as a committed cop, Olivia Munn as a determined character, Nobi Nakanishi as a troubled yet loyal partner, Fred Tatasciore voicing the titular Hit-Monkey, George Takei as a compassionate politician, Jason Sudeikis as the spectral mentor, and Leslie Jones in a role yet to be confirmed.
