After Evans’ Cameo as Human Torch in Deadpool & Wolverine, Jessica Alba Hints at a Return as Sue Storm
Deadpool & Wolverine is the latest hit in the MCU, shattering box office records and captivating audiences around the globe. A significant part of the film’s success is its fan service, notably featuring the return of Marvel’s live-action legacy characters.
The movie revisits key phases of Marvel’s live-action history, from Wesley Snipes’ Blade to Jennifer Garner’s Elektra. Many fans consider the standout moment to be Chris Evans’ cameo as the Human Torch from the original Fantastic Four films.
The original Fantastic Four films were heavily criticized, but fans now view them with fondness and nostalgia. While the MCU has a new cast for the Fantastic Four, the previous cast members are still expressing interest in returning.
Rumors have already circulated about Ioan Gruffudd potentially reprising his role as Mr. Fantastic, and it seems Jessica Alba is also keen to return as Sue Storm.
In a recent interview with Collider, Alba expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her role as Sue Storm and returning to the Marvel universe.
She’s kind of a legend. It was like 20 years ago. That was a long time ago. I loved doing the Marvel movies, and I’m a big fan of Disney also. I will be watching. My kids are fans as well, so I would love to be part of that universe any time.
Jessica Alba portrayed Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four films released in 2005 and 2007. Despite the movies receiving mixed reviews, Alba’s performance as the character was well-regarded.
Alba also shared some advice with Vanessa Kirby, who will be playing Sue Storm in the upcoming MCU reboot.
just have fun and soak in the moments. […]The fans are so amazing, It was probably one of the best times of my life, going around the world and meeting all of the people that just love The Fantastic Four and love these comic books and can relate to these stories.
That, to me, and to be able to meet so many different people that you can touch and bring joy to them, I would say that’s first and foremost for anyone who gets the honor of playing one of these awesome characters. So I’d tell her to just have fun and soak in the moments.
