Netflix’s ‘You’ Season 5 Release Update Has Fans Worried
The ‘You’ franchise is a psychological thriller series based on the book series by Caroline Kepnes. It follows Joe Goldberg, a charming but dangerous man who becomes obsessed with women he dates.
Throughout the show, Joe goes to extreme lengths to get what he wants, often using manipulation and violence. The series has been popular on Netflix for its suspenseful plot and dark exploration of obsession and love.
‘You’ Season 5 is supposed to release in the following months, but, if the latest development proves our fears right, that might not be the case.
Netflix recently removed the “Coming Soon” label from the ‘You’ homepage, sparking concern among fans about a possible delay for the upcoming season. Fans feared this meant the release of Season 5, which is supposed to conclude Joe Goldberg’s criminal journey in 2025, could be pushed back.
However, this update might also mean that Netflix is preparing to announce an official release date soon, replacing the vague “Coming Soon” message.
The last time fans saw Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, was nearly two years ago, when ‘You’ Season 4 came out in early 2023. The season ended with Joe returning to New York, setting up the story for the final season.
Looking back at You Season 4, filming took place from March to August 2022, with the first half of the season premiering in February 2023, just six months after filming wrapped. If Season 5 follows a similar schedule, it could arrive by February 2025. However, Netflix has not yet confirmed any official dates.
