In an unexpected but exciting pairing, rap legend Kendrick Lamar and Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet teamed up for a special interview before the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

The full video is now out! Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet appears with Kendric Lamar in an Apple ad that lasts over three minutes. The format is unique as Chalamet and Lamar simply drive around in black-and-white and talk about things.

In the interview, Lamar discusses the possibility of writer’s block that can occur when he’s been away from the studio for a while. He compares this to actors experiencing a similar challenge when they’ve been off-camera for some time.

“I try to prep at home” Chalamet says confirming that he faces similar issues,” but the thing about acting is, if you don’t have an audience…it’s just a form of insanity.”

He told Lamar that he has been a longtime fan of his music and found it incredible to see how far he has come in his career. Chalamet specifically pointed out that performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show is a huge milestone and praised Lamar for his continued success and growth.
