[Video] Lex Luthor’s (Supposed) Cat Relieves Itself on the ‘Superman’ Premiere Red Carpet — Then Just Walks Away
At the recent Superman premiere, fans got an unexpected and hilarious moment caught on camera. A white cat, believed by some to be Lex Luthor’s, decided to relieve itself right on the red carpet, then just calmly walked away like nothing happened.
Anyone who has owned a cat knows this feels oddly familiar: the fancier the carpet, the more likely a cat is to mark its territory.
Fans had a field day with this, joking about the cat’s bold move. Some said the cat must belong to Lex Luthor himself, while others thought it was just a little jealous because Krypto, Superman’s super-powered dog, gets so much attention in the movie.
The reactions were priceless, showing how much fun fans are having with this unexpected red carpet incident.

Even though cats aren’t usually linked to Superman, his cousin Supergirl does have a famous supercat named Streaky. Streaky gained powers like flight, super-strength, and super-speed thanks to exposure to X-Kryptonite.
He even sports a lightning bolt pattern in his fur and is part of the Legion of Super-Pets, which includes Krypto, Beppo, and Comet. Judging by the red carpet antics, Streaky might be a bit upset about missing out on screen time in the new movie.
Speaking of the movie, James Gunn is directing this fresh take on Superman, starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman. The story follows Clark as he tries to balance his alien background with his life on Earth.
Alongside him, Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of the villain, Lex Luthor. The film also introduces several other superheroes like Mister Terrific, Metamorpho, Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl.
The story draws inspiration from popular comic runs like All-Star Superman, giving fans something new while honoring the classic tales. This movie is the first in the new DC Universe, and it’s set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
Other notable cast members include Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell as Clark’s adoptive parents, with Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced rounding out the superhero lineup.
