‘Resident Evil: Survival Unit’ Announced as New Mobile Strategy Game, Full Reveal Coming Soon

Aniplex, JOYCITY, and Capcom have teamed up to bring a new Resident Evil game to mobile devices. The game, called Resident Evil: Survival Unit, will be a strategy game available on iOS and Android. It will launch in North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and other parts of Asia.

Unlike recent Resident Evil games that focus on survival horror, this one will be a real-time strategy game made especially for mobile platforms.

According to a press release, “Resident Evil: Survival Unit offers a fresh take on the beloved franchise, reimagining the survival horror universe as a real-time strategy experience optimized for mobile platforms, iOS and Android.” The developers want the game to attract both longtime fans and new players.

The game was announced at Anime Expo by Shinji Hashimoto, senior vice president of Aniplex ForwardWorks Room. He shared that Capcom, JOYCITY, and Aniplex are working closely together on this new project.

Even though the exact gameplay details aren’t out yet, fans won’t have to wait long. A full reveal event is scheduled for July 10 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET on YouTube, where more about the game will be shown.

While fans are waiting for this mobile strategy game, they also have another Resident Evil title to look forward to. Resident Evil Requiem is set to come out in February 2026.

This upcoming game will introduce a new main character, Grace Ashcroft, and take players back to a destroyed Raccoon City after an explosion aimed at stopping the T-virus spread.
