Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach Have Interesting Teasers for Upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe spotlight next week with the release of Fantastic Four: First Steps. Quinn will bring Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, to life, while Bachrach takes on the role of Ben Grimm, better known as the Thing.
But their MCU journey doesn’t stop there. Both actors are set to return in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, the next big chapter in the Avengers saga.
Details about Avengers: Doomsday are still under wraps, but the film promises a huge cast and a massive storyline. Recently, Quinn and Bachrach spoke with BBC and gave fans a sneak peek in just a few words. Joseph Quinn described the movie as “Epic. Mental. Robert Downey Jr.” Meanwhile, Ebon Moss-Bachrach added, “Epic. Tragic. Intergalactic. Starry.”
Avengers: Doomsday will be the fifth Avengers movie, following the huge success of Avengers: Endgame in 2019, and the 39th film in the entire MCU.
Directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, the script is written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The star-studded cast includes big names like Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and many others, including both Quinn and Bachrach.
In this new film, the Avengers will join forces with the Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the original X-Men to battle the villain Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. His return to the MCU in a villain role has already sparked lots of excitement.
This movie marks a big turning point in the MCU’s Phase Six and wraps up the ongoing “Multiverse Saga.” The film has had an interesting journey, with directors changing and storylines shifting, especially around the villain Kang the Conqueror.
But with the Russos back at the helm and Downey’s involvement, fans are eager to see how it all comes together.
Filming began in April 2025 at Pinewood Studios in England, with some scenes shot in England and Bahrain. The movie is set to hit theaters in the United States on December 18, 2026. Its sequel, Secret Wars, is planned for release exactly one year later on December 17, 2027.
According to sources, Avengers: Doomsday takes place fourteen months after the events of Thunderbolts (2025). It promises to be a massive team-up featuring many fan-favorite heroes from across the MCU, ready to face one of their greatest threats yet.
