Milly Alcock Teases Her Chaotic Supergirl with Hilarious Superman Meme

Superman is finally in cinemas, and the movie is already smashing records. It’s not just a big movie because it starts James Gunn’s new DC Universe. Fans are also excited because it introduced lots of new characters, both heroes and villains. People got to meet heroes like Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho, and Guy Gardner, and villains like Ultraman and Lex Luthor.

But the biggest surprise was Supergirl. Played by Milly Alcock, she showed up for the first time in Gunn’s DCU. Fans expected a classic superhero entrance, but that’s not what they got. She showed up late in the film, just to pick up her dog, Krypto.

Even stranger, she was drunk and not acting like a typical hero at all. At one point, she even called Superman a “bi***,” leaving fans shocked.

Superman explained why Kara was acting that way. He said she likes to party on planets with red suns. On Earth, the yellow sun gives Kryptonians superpowers and speeds up their bodies so much that they can’t get drunk like humans. That’s why Kara drinks on red sun planets—there, she can actually feel the effects like a normal person.

Not long after the movie came out, Milly Alcock joined the fun. She posted a meme on her social media that made fans laugh. In the meme, Alcock is sitting down, smoking a cigarette and looking at her phone in a tired, messy way. The caption said: “Supergirl while Metropolis is almost destroyed.” Fans saw it as a joke about how lazy and chaotic her version of Supergirl is.

Director James Gunn also shared some thoughts about her character. Speaking about Kara’s tough life, Gunn said: “She’s a total mess. I mean, I think as we learn, she’s had a completely different background from Superman. A much more difficult background. He’s had this wonderful upbringing by these two parents that loved him and were very healthy. And her background was much different than that.”

Now that fans have met her, they won’t have to wait too long to see more. Milly Alcock’s Supergirl will get her own movie next year. That film will follow her on a wild adventure far from Earth. It’s based on the comic called Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, where Kara finds herself on a distant planet and ends up helping lead a rebellion against evil rulers.

In the comics, Kara Zor-El comes from Argo City, which is a different part of Krypton. She was supposed to look after her baby cousin, Kal-El, when they were both sent to Earth. But her ship got lost, and when she finally made it to Earth, Superman was already grown up, leaving her confused and alone.

Her solo film will hit theaters on June 26, 2026. After her wild introduction in Superman, fans are curious to see more of this messy and chaotic Supergirl. Until then, Milly Alcock’s meme gives fans a funny preview of the kind of Supergirl they’ll be seeing.
