What’s Next for Moon Knight and the Eternals? Kevin Feige Shares Some Answers

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 was kind of a mixed bag. It had its good moments, but mostly it’s remembered for messy storylines and plot holes that didn’t lead anywhere. One of the biggest problems was with Eternals.

This movie was supposed to be a big deal after Endgame, introducing a bunch of new characters who might have taken the MCU forward. But that didn’t happen. The movie didn’t do well, and for the past four years, it’s hardly been mentioned.

The only real nod to Eternals happened in Captain America: Brave New World, where a giant celestial stuck out of the earth and was part of the story. Even then, the Eternals themselves weren’t brought up at all.

On the flip side, Moon Knight was a hit. Fans loved the show and have been eager for a second season. But the way the mini-series ended makes it hard to say if season 2 will happen. There have also been rumors about Marvel working on a Midnight Sons project, but nothing official has come out yet.

Recently, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige gave fans a peek at what’s coming next for these characters. When asked if major characters like Moon Knight or the Eternals would return, Feige didn’t say yes or no to those exact heroes. But he did confirm that characters introduced after Endgame will show up again in future movies.

He said, “I don’t know that it’s any of the specific ones you just named, but yes, that is part of the plan: Characters we’ve introduced post-‘Endgame’ will pop up again in some of the upcoming movies and beyond. The fun of the comics is anyone popping up anywhere.”

So even if it’s not clear who exactly will come back, Feige’s words give hope that Marvel’s newer characters aren’t being forgotten. This update came straight from Feige during a recent interview, and it looks like fans can expect to see some familiar faces in the next phase of the MCU.
