A brand new teaser trailer for Keeper has been released, giving horror fans their first spooky look at Osgood Perkins’ latest movie.

The film is now officially set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. It was supposed to come out earlier, in October, but the release date changed.

Keeper is an upcoming American horror film written by Nick Lepard and directed by Perkins, known for his creepy and atmospheric style. The movie stars Tatiana Maslany as Liz and Rossif Sutherland as Malcolm.

The story follows Liz after Malcolm suddenly comes back to the city. She ends up trapped and isolated in a cabin where she faces something truly terrifying. According to the official description, Liz finds herself “in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.”

The film first made news in May 2024 during the Cannes Film Market, where it was being shopped around to studios. According to Screen Daily, Perkins was already signed on as director, with Maslany and Sutherland cast in the lead roles.

Chris Ferguson and Jesse Savath are the producers behind the project, working through their company Oddfellows. Filming wrapped by July 2024, with Jeremy Cox working as the cinematographer.

At Cannes, distribution rights were picked up by Neon, which now holds both the U.S. and worldwide rights, as reported by Deadline. Neon is also expanding into international distribution, so Keeper will be part of that push. In Canada, Elevation Pictures will handle the release.

This new movie comes after Perkins had two strong box office hits. Last year’s Longlegs, starring Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, was a surprise success. It earned $128 million on a $10 million budget, making it the biggest indie movie of 2024.

Earlier this year, Perkins also scored with The Monkey, a Stephen King adaptation starring Theo James, which made $68.6 million worldwide. Whether Keeper can match those numbers is anyone’s guess, but expectations are high.

The teaser trailer doesn’t give away much about the plot, but it definitely sets the mood. It shows several women caught in some kind of nightmare situation, but the details are kept secret for now. The teaser focuses more on creating tension than revealing story points, which fans of Perkins’ earlier work might appreciate.

With the teaser now online and the release date confirmed, horror fans can start counting down to November. Given Perkins’ recent success, Keeper could be another standout hit in the genre.
