A brand-new clip from Season 2 of Wednesday is finally here, and it brings back Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Gomez and Morticia Addams. The short preview already has fans buzzing, and it’s clear the creepy vibes are going to be even stronger this time around.

Netflix’s hit series, which first premiered back in late 2022, is making a big return this August. The first season was a massive success, quickly becoming one of the platform’s most-watched shows in English. It dropped globally on November 23, 2022, and only Stranger Things had bigger numbers at the time. On top of that, Wednesday earned four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe nominations.

Jenna Ortega, who stars as Wednesday Addams, is back again, and this time she’s also an executive producer. She’s working closely with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the creators and showrunners behind the series. Tim Burton is still involved too, serving as an executive producer again.

The second season is split into two parts. The first drops on August 6, 2025, and the second part follows on September 3. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming wrapped in December 2024 after a seven-month shoot in Ireland.

Ortega spoke with THR about the new season and shared that it will be “leaning more into the horror aspect” and said that “Wednesday won’t be dealing with any romantic love interests this time around.” The show will instead focus more on friendships and family. Gough and Millar added that fans will see more of Wednesday’s bond with Enid and her tense, layered relationship with her mother Morticia.

In addition to Ortega, the new season brings back Fred Armisen, Christina Ricci, and of course, Guzmán and Zeta-Jones. But there are some big new names joining the cast too. Steve Buscemi will play the new principal, Barry Dort, and Thandiwe Newton is coming in as Dr. Fairburn. Other new cast members include Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, and Lady Gaga, although Netflix hasn’t revealed her character yet.

The new clip teases more gothic chaos, supernatural twists, and a version of Wednesday that’s even more fearless and intense. With the clip now making its way around social media, fans don’t have long to wait before the Addams family returns to Nevermore Academy. And if this teaser is anything to go by, Season 2 might be even more wicked than the first.
