Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place was officially announced on March 31, 2025, and filming started soon after on April 14. Production wrapped up on July 3, 2025. Fans can look forward to the new 10-episode season premiering on September 12 with a special two-episode debut.

This season takes a deeper look into Billie’s life as she realizes being part of the Russo family is more complicated than she expected.

With Roman and Milo discovering their own magical powers, the pressure is on Justin to train three young wizards for the upcoming Family Wizard Competition. As things get intense both inside and outside the family, a mysterious new danger shows up, threatening to shake the Russos to their core.

The main cast features Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie Russo, Alkaio Thiele playing Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter, Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo, and David Henrie returning as Justin Russo.

Fans will also be excited to see Selena Gomez make a special guest appearance reprising her role as Alex Russo.

In addition to the main cast, the season introduces several new faces including Freya Skye as Piper, Harvey Guillén playing Gossip Stone, and Recker Eans as Quentin. Other guest stars include Kirsten Vangsness, Tobias Jelinek, Patrick Bristow, and Tracy Letts among others. The showrunners have kept viewers on their toes with this diverse lineup.

Both the teaser and the official poster for Season 2 have been released, giving fans a first glimpse of what to expect. The new visuals highlight the magic, the family drama, and hint at the rising threats that will challenge the Russo family in the upcoming episodes.
