Netflix has released the first look at House of Guinness, a new historical drama series from Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders. The show is set to premiere on September 25, 2025. The series explores the story of the Guinness family, the people behind the world-famous Guinness brewery, during the 19th century in Ireland and New York.

It focuses on the fallout after the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man who built the brewery into a huge success, and what happens to his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben.

The cast features Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, Emily Fairn as Anne Guinness, and Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin Guinness. Other notable actors include David Wilmot as Bonnie Champion, James Norton as Sean Rafferty, Jack Gleeson as Byron Hughes, Niamh McCormack as Ellen Cochrane, Seamus O’Hara as Patrick Cochrane, Dervla Kirwan as Aunt Agnes Guinness, Michael McElhatton as John Potter, Danielle Galligan as Lady Olivia Hedges, and Hilda Fay as Sultan.

House of Guinness was officially announced in March 2024 under its working title. The series is produced by Kudos for Netflix. Tom Shankland directs the first five episodes, while Mounia Akl takes charge of the final three.

Executive producers include Knight, Shankland, Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Martin Haines, and Ivana Lowell. Series producer is Cahal Bannon, with Howard Burch serving as producer.

Filming began in Cheshire during the summer of 2024, with additional locations in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and Liverpool. According to production sources, the series promises to combine rich historical detail with intense family drama, capturing the rise and challenges of one of the world’s most famous brewing dynasties.

The first look at the show gives fans a glimpse of the period costumes, dramatic settings, and the cast bringing the Guinness family to life. House of Guinness will run for eight episodes and is scheduled to launch on Netflix on September 25, 2025.
