[Trailer] Jude Law and Jason Bateman Team Up in New Limited Series ‘Black Rabbit’

Black Rabbit, a new Netflix drama, is finally on its way. The limited series stars Jude Law and Jason Bateman and will premiere on September 18, 2025. Netflix has also dropped the first trailer, giving fans a quick look at the intense story waiting to unfold.

The show was created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, who also serve as executive producers. Jason Bateman not only stars in the series but is also directing episodes.

Other directors include Laura Linney, Justin Kurzel, and Ben Semanoff. Michael Costigan, Ben Jackson, Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, David Bernon, and Erica Kay are also on board as executive producers.

The story takes place in New York City. Jude Law plays Jake Friedken, the owner of a popular nightlife spot who has built a solid life for himself.

But when he decides to let his troubled brother Vince, played by Jason Bateman, back into his life, things spiral out of control. Their reunion sets off a chain of dangerous events that threaten to destroy everything Jake has worked for.

Netflix confirmed the cast lineup, which includes Cleopatra Coleman as Estelle, Amaka Okafor as Roxie, Sope Dirisu as Wes, Dagmara Domińczyk as Val, Chris Coy as Babbit, Troy Kotsur as Joe Mancuso, Abbey Lee as Anna, Odessa Young as Gen, Robin de Jesús as Tony, Amir Malaklou as Naveen, Don Harvey as Matt, Forrest Weber as Junior, Francis Benhamou as Lisa Klein, Gus Birney as Mel Whitney, John Ales as Jules Zablonski, Steve Witting as Andy, and Morgan Spector as Campbell.

The series was first announced back in 2022, with Jude Law and Jason Bateman attached as both stars and producers from the beginning. By March 2024, Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, and Dagmara Domińczyk were confirmed to be joining the cast. More names, including Chris Coy, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Odessa Young, and Robin de Jesús, were revealed shortly after in April. Filming started in New York in the spring of 2024.
