‘Percy Jackson’ Season 3 Casts Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry – Their Characters Have Been Revealed
Disney+ is expanding the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians with some exciting new cast additions for season three. Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry have joined the show in recurring roles, according to a Disney+ announcement.
Keen, known for her work in Deadpool & Wolverine and His Dark Materials, will take on the role of Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt. Chaudry, who has appeared in The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Breadwinner, will play Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’ loyal lieutenant and an immortal hunter.
Keen’s Artemis is described as a goddess who “prefers the freedom of the outdoors to the politics and formality of Olympus.” “Her immortal hunters are her constant companions, and she has little contact with mortals, making her a bit out of touch with modern human culture. She is regal and an honorable fighter who will stand up to grave challenges,” according to Disney+.
This version of Artemis promises to bring strength, independence, and a touch of wildness to the series.
Zoë Nightshade, portrayed by Chaudry, has been by Artemis’ side for more than 2,000 years. Disney+ describes her as “the loyal lieutenant to Artemis and first among the immortal hunters. She is a strong warrior and sometimes overly serious in ways that amuse the demigods, but she is also a crucial quest member, willing to strive and sacrifice for the good of all.”
Her role in season three is expected to be pivotal as the characters face new challenges and adventures.
These new additions join Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will play siblings Leo and Bianca di Angelo in the upcoming season.
Production for season three is currently underway in Vancouver, and it is based on Rick Riordan’s The Titan’s Curse, the third book in the Percy Jackson series. Walker Scobell reprises his role as the young demigod Percy Jackson, alongside Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer.
Season two of the series will debut on Disney+ on December 10, continuing to build anticipation for the next chapter of Percy Jackson’s adventures.
With the addition of Keen and Chaudry, fans can look forward to seeing new mythological figures brought to life and joining Percy on his quest, adding depth, action, and a fresh dynamic to the already rich world of the series.
