Netflix is calling the new season Record of Ragnarok III. The trailer starts with the Valkyries arriving to fight and quickly sets up all the characters, giving fans a chance to cheer for their favorites.
Just like before, the season will feature famous historical and mythological figures, including Nikola Tesla (voiced by Makoto Furukawa), King Leonidas (Hiroshi Shirokuma), Hades (Ryotaro Okiayu), and Beelzebub (Daisuke Namikawa).
The stakes are higher than ever this season. The trailer makes it clear that this is the final battle that will decide humanity’s fate. Even though the gods are incredibly powerful, humans still have a chance through clever strategies.
Tesla and Leonidas, for example, will use their intelligence and tactics to fight in unexpected ways. The rules remain the same: 13 fighters from each side face off in high-stakes battles, and whichever team reaches seven wins first will control the world for a thousand years.
The third season was officially announced in March 2025. This time, the series has a new team behind the scenes. Animation is handled by Yumeta Company and Maru Animation, Koichi Hatsumi is directing, Yasuyuki Mutō is the main writer, and Yōko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima are the new character designers. Yasuharu Takanashi returns to compose the music.
Fans can look forward to the intense and clever fights when Record of Ragnarok III premieres in December 2025, as humanity faces its ultimate challenge.
