Alice in Borderland became one of Netflix’s biggest Japanese shows after its first two seasons, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with global hits like Squid Game. The series, based on Haro Aso’s manga, seemed to wrap up its story in Season 2. But as Netflix revealed with this trailer, the story is far from finished.
The upcoming third season will pick up with Arisu and Usagi returning to the mysterious Borderland, where they’ll be forced to take part in a brand-new round of death games. This time the games are tied to the mysterious Joker card, a twist that wasn’t even part of the original manga.
That means even readers of the series won’t know what’s coming.

Season 3 will premiere worldwide on Netflix on September 25. This marks the first time one of Netflix’s Japanese original series has made it to three full seasons, making it a special milestone for both the show and the streaming platform.
The new trailer teases not only dangerous challenges but also brand-new characters who will be introduced in this original continuation of the story.
With the poster and trailer now out, fans don’t have long to wait before Alice in Borderland returns. Netflix is promising bigger games, higher stakes, and an all-new story that takes Arisu and Usagi deeper into the nightmare of the Borderland than ever before.
