Glen Powell is back, and this time he is taking on comedy in the upcoming sports series ‘Chad Powers.’ The show is created by Glen Powell himself along with Michael Waldron, and it stars Powell as the main character, Chad Powers.
In the series, Powell plays Russ Holliday, a quarterback whose career has been completely ruined. To try to make a comeback, he pretends to be Chad Powers, leading to funny and chaotic situations.
The show also features a strong supporting cast including Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Colton Ryan, Keese Wilson, Xavier Mills, and Quentin Plair.
Kevin Trainor plays the Press Conference Moderator. The cast adds depth to the story, with each character bringing their own unique style to the comedy.
‘Chad Powers’ was given a series order by Hulu in February 2024. Filming began around late August 2024, and the music for the show is composed by Natalie Holt. Patrick Tuck worked as the editor for the series. The story is inspired by Eli Manning’s character from Eli’s Places, according to sources familiar with the show.
