Paul Rudd Sends Fans a Behind-the-Scenes Message from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Disney’s Destination D23 2025 came and went, and the Walt Disney Studios panel was shorter than many fans had hoped when it came to updates on Avengers: Doomsday.
Despite the limited new information, there was one standout moment. The Russo Brothers appeared on screen with Paul Rudd, sharing a message from the set that excited the audience. The directors told fans that Avengers: Doomsday is the biggest film they have ever worked on.
Paul Rudd then shared his own message, giving fans a glimpse of what’s happening behind the scenes. “We’re surrounded by jaw dropping sets and some truly incredible talent, many of who you just saw teased in that great video. Bringing this story to the big screen means the world to us and we couldn’t do it without your support,” he said.
His words captured the scale and excitement of the project and the dedication of everyone involved.
Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth film in the Avengers series. The film features an enormous cast. Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr. are all involved.
In the movie, the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the original X-Men team up to battle Doctor Doom, played by Downey.
The film has had a complicated development. It was originally part of a two-movie plan along with The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. The project saw multiple director and writer changes, and Jonathan Majors, originally cast as Kang the Conqueror, was removed from the storyline. In July 2024, the Russo Brothers returned as directors, Stephen McFeely joined as co-writer, and the new subtitle Doomsday was confirmed.
Filming began in April this year at Pinewood Studios in England, with additional shooting in England and Bahrain.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU. Its sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, will follow on December 17, 2027. Fans can expect a massive, action-packed movie with incredible performances and jaw-dropping visuals.
