LeBron James Reveals His Top 5 Favorite Movies
NBA champion LeBron James recently shared his favorite films in a feature for Letterboxd alongside actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
LeBron opened up about the movies that have left a lasting impression on him, highlighting a mix of classics and iconic performances. Among his picks are Goodfellas, Coming to America, Gladiator, and The Godfather Part I & II.
Goodfellas made the list for its compelling storytelling and unforgettable characters, while Coming to America brought a mix of laughter and nostalgia. Gladiator captured the intensity and drama that James admires, and The Godfather films impressed him with their legendary performances and timeless storytelling.
The feature on Letterboxd also included commentary from Kevin Hart, who reflected on his own favorites and how movies have influenced his life and career.
“Soul Plane, Paper Soldiers, Think Like a Man and Ride Along One and Two Combined.” Hart stated, naming his own movies.
Then, in a funny moment, James reminded Hart that he is supposed to name “classics,” not his own movies.

Fans were impressed with James’ selection of movies, which is a welcome change from the last time he was asked to answer a similar question. Several years ago, James was recently asked to name his three favorite movies starring the two-time Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington.
He started by picking two clear favorites: “Man on Fire” and “He Got Game.” For the other two, he hesitated, saying “I don’t know” before mentioning “Remember the Titans” and “John Q.” Then, he was reminded to include “Training Day,” the film that won Washington his Best Actor Oscar. “Who could forget about him? Alonzo. Of course,” James said. “So, there’s so many. So many.”
It’s understandable that coming up with a top-three list on the spot is tough, even for someone like LeBron, who regularly answers questions in front of cameras. But in any case, fans called the list “terrible.”
