[Watch] ‘Gen V’ Teases Exciting Sneak Peek Ahead of Season 2 Release
A new teaser for Gen V season 2 has just been released, giving fans a fresh look at what’s coming next in the spinoff of The Boys. The season is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 17, 2025.
The teaser shows Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, in a tense argument with Starlight. Starlight wants Marie to return to Godolkin University to carry out a risky plan that could strike a major blow. Marie is hesitant, and it’s obvious the plan is suicidal, showing just how dangerous things are about to get.
The clip ends with Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar confronting Marie. When she asks him what he wants, he simply replies “you,” hinting that Marie may become one of the most powerful Supes in the universe.

Gen V focuses on students with superpowers at Godolkin University. Marie survived a full optic blast from Homelander in season 1, and the teaser suggests she is growing even stronger.
In a recent interview, Sinclair said, “I hoped that they would write more into that [for season 2], and they definitely did. It’s kind of like Harry Potter with Voldemort with the death curse. How did he survive?”
The teaser released at Comic-Con also hints that Marie could rival Homelander in power. Sinclair added, “I was always hoping that they would write me to kill Homelander. I always really liked the idea of taking him out ’cause he’s such a royal ass, you know?”
Season 2 picks up a few months after The Boys season 4. Marie and her friends Emma Meyer, Jordan Li, and Andre Anderson return to the university after spending time in the Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center, a prison for Supes. The campus is now under Homelander’s control, showing just how much influence he has.
New cast member Hamish Linklater plays the dean who trains Supes to be soldiers. Returning cast members include Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann.
The story follows the students as they uncover a program that could change everything, all while the tension between humans and Supes grows.
Showrunner Eric Kripke, who works on both The Boys and Gen V, explained Marie’s role: “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet? Just because she has the potential to be, doesn’t mean that she is.” His words point to a “chosen one” storyline while keeping the show’s dark humor.
Gen V season 2 will release its first three episodes on September 17, 2025, with new episodes coming out weekly until the season finale on October 22, 2025. The teaser promises plenty of action, surprises, and dark humor as Marie and the other students face dangerous challenges and potentially reshape the fight against Homelander.
