Raymond Cruz, the actor famous for playing Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad, was arrested in Los Angeles after a strange incident outside his home.

According to TMZ, police were called after a girl claimed Cruz sprayed her with water on purpose.

Sources told the outlet that Cruz was cleaning his car when the girl was nearby. He reportedly asked her to move, and when she didn’t, she was sprayed with the hose. She believed he did it intentionally and her family contacted authorities.

The arrest happened in the Silverlake neighborhood, and Cruz was taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

Because the case involves a misdemeanor, it will be reviewed by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. As of now, no formal charges have been filed. In similar cases, the City Attorney sometimes avoids prosecution and instead schedules a meeting where the accused can receive a warning or be directed to anger management classes.

Cruz was later released from custody on his own recognizance. He is expected to appear in court on October 1 TMZ claims.

Fans reacted strongly after news of the arrest surfaced. Many felt the whole thing was blown out of proportion.

One person wrote, “This has to be the most ridiculous arrest ever.” Another commented, “Glad to know that our hardworking tax payers money is used to arrest guys with water hoses.” Others mocked the situation, with one fan saying, “Oh you assaulted me because I got wet with the hose. Come on!!!!! Waste of cops time and resources.” Another added, “He got arrested for assault… for spraying someone with a garden hose? What a joke.”
