Chris Evans Is Way Too Jacked in the Latest Photo Not to Be in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

A new photo of Chris Evans has taken over social media, and fans cannot stop talking about it. The actor looks more muscular than ever, and many believe this is proof that he is back for Avengers: Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, and will be the fifth Avengers film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a script from Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, the movie will bring together a massive cast of heroes. The Avengers will team up with the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Wakandans, and the New Avengers to take on Doctor Doom, who will be played by Robert Downey Jr.

Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell are both confirmed to appear in the new film. Atwell will return as Peggy Carter, but Evans’ role is being kept secret. He could return as Steve Rogers, play a new Captain America variant, or even take on the role of Nomad, a fan theory that has been gaining traction online.

Evans recently showed up in Deadpool & Wolverine, where he surprised audiences by playing his old role as the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four movies. This makes his exact character in Doomsday even harder to predict.

Leaked set photos have added more fuel to the speculation. The images reportedly show a vintage car, a family home, and a swingset with toys, suggesting that Evans might appear as Steve Rogers, who has returned to the past to live a quiet life with Peggy.

For now, Marvel Studios has not confirmed what role Evans will play, but the actor’s recent appearance has only increased the excitement. Fans believe his new look makes it clear he is preparing for a major return in Avengers: Doomsday.

The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, is scheduled to follow on December 17, 2027, and will continue the story. Until then, all eyes are on Evans and his mysterious role in the upcoming film.
