Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is gearing up for another adventure, and fans have reason to be excited. Season 2 of the series is officially set for a 2026 release, and attention is already turning to the upcoming third season.

One Piece Day ’25 recently confirmed that Season 3 is happening, sparking curiosity about when it might actually arrive.

According to What’s on Netflix, Season 3, codenamed Project Arcadia, is scheduled to start filming on November 24, with production expected to wrap by June 19, 2026.

The report cites production listings as the source, and while unconfirmed, this timeline aligns with statements from Joe Manganiello, who plays Crocodile. Speaking to CinemaBlend earlier this year, Manganiello said he would return to film the next chapter “later this year” after a break between Seasons 2 and 3.

The first season of live-action One Piece premiered on Netflix on August 31, 2023, to strong reviews from both fans and critics. Viewers praised the acting, writing, visual effects, and faithfulness to the original manga.

Several media outlets even called it one of the best live-action adaptations of a manga or anime. The series also became Netflix’s most-watched show for the latter half of 2023.

Two weeks after the first season debuted, Netflix renewed the series for Season 2, which began filming in June 2024 and is slated for a 2026 release. Netflix moved quickly in August 2025 to renew the show for Season 3, even before the second season hits screens.

It’s clear that Netflix is committed to building a long-term live-action One Piece universe. The faster production schedule for Season 3 could mean fans won’t have to wait as long as they did between the first two seasons.
