Meet the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four & Doctor Doom in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ as First Look Is Revealed
Fans got a first look at the full cast of Avengers: Doomsday after SFX artist Gi Ponci Mua shared images of actors in costume on social media.
The pictures show updated suits for the Fantastic Four, comic-accurate outfits for the X-Men, and new looks for characters like Thor, Namor, and M’Baku. The presence of The Sentry also hints that the character will play a major role.
The film brings together multiple superhero teams, including the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the original X-Men, to face Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. Other returning characters include Bucky Barnes, Captain America, Black Panther, and Loki.
Notable new additions to the MCU lineup include Gambit, Magneto, Cyclops, and Franklin Richards, though fans are still hoping to see Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Storm join the roster.

Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. Filming began in April at Pinewood Studios in England, with additional location shoots in Bahrain and Windsor Great Park, and wrapped just a few days ago. The film is part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 18, 2026.
The movie follows events from Thunderbolts* and is intended to lead into its sequel, Secret Wars, set for release on December 17, 2027. The Russo brothers confirmed that both films are being produced closely together, though they were not shot back-to-back like Infinity War and Endgame.
Fans and experts have noted the MCU’s focus on staying true to comic book designs in this film.
Thor’s new haircut resembles his look from Avengers: Infinity War, while X-Men costumes are more faithful to their original comic appearances. The film also reintroduces characters from 20th Century Fox’s Marvel films alongside the main MCU cast.
Avengers: Doomsday looks set to be a huge team-up with one of the largest casts in MCU history.
