Greek filmmaker Yannis Veslemes’ feature follows three grief-stricken brothers who build an unusual time machine in a desperate effort to bring their long-dead mother back to life—a plan that spirals into a psychedelic collision of past and present. The film opens in select theaters and on digital on Friday, October 3, distributed by Dark Sky Films.

The cast includes Panos Papadopoulos, Julio Giorgos Katsis, Aris Balis, and Dominique Pinon, with Veslemes co-writing alongside Dimitris Emmanouilidis; the film previously screened at Tribeca 2024.

Opening October 3, ‘Peas and Carrots’ centers on Joey Wethersby, a New York teen whose ’90s one-hit-wonder parents complicate an already weird life—especially as she slips nightly into an alternate reality where everyone can only say three words: “peas and carrots.”

Written and directed by Evan Oppenheimer, the film stars Kirrilee Berger, Amy Carlson, Jordan Bridges, and Andrew Polk; it’s listed as a sci-fi musical-drama with a 1h 36m runtime.

The third entry in Disney’s franchise hits theaters on October 10 and flips the series’ premise: a sophisticated program named Ares (Jared Leto) is sent from the digital world into the human one. Joachim Rønning directs, with a cast that includes Jeff Bridges, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Cameron Monaghan, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson.

‘TRON: Ares’ is slated for premium formats including IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema. Story and character details, including the Dillinger lineage and ENCOM ties, have been shared in official materials and coverage ahead of release.

Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic arrives in select theaters on October 17 ahead of a Netflix launch in November. The film stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as the Creature, and Mia Goth, with supporting roles for Christoph Waltz, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, and Charles Dance.

Del Toro writes and directs, with Dan Laustsen as cinematographer and Alexandre Desplat composing. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 30, 2025, before its October theatrical window.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ English-language remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s ‘Save the Green Planet!’ premieres at Venice before opening limited on October 24, with a wider rollout on October 31. The story follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO, convinced she’s an alien bent on destroying Earth.

Emma Stone stars as the CEO, with Jesse Plemons and newcomer Aidan Delbis among the kidnappers; the script is by Will Tracy, with producers including Lanthimos, Stone, and Ari Aster under Focus Features.

The sixth and final season of the adult-animation sci-fi comedy drops all episodes on Hulu (and Hulu on Disney+) on October 13. Created by Mike McMahan and Justin Roiland, the series follows alien housemates Korvo, Terry, Jesse, and Yumyulack as they wreak cheerful havoc on Earth.

Season 6 continues with Dan Stevens voicing Korvo alongside Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack, concluding the show’s run that began in 2020.

Netflix’s new animated espionage series—developed by ‘John Wick’ creator Derek Kolstad—premieres October 14. The show follows legendary Fourth Echelon operative Sam Fisher as he’s pulled back into the field to help a young recruit unravel a global conspiracy.

Liev Schreiber voices Sam Fisher, with Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Janet Varney among the cast; Ubisoft co-produces, and Netflix lists the title for an October 14 global launch.

Volume 3 of Lucasfilm’s anime anthology returns to Disney+ on October 29 with nine new shorts from Japanese studios including david production, Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Polygon Pictures, Production I.G, WIT Studio, Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA, and Project Studio Q.

A new trailer and official announcements confirm the date and participating studios, continuing the series’ tradition of non-canon Star Wars stories told through distinct animation styles.
