Voice cast across the series has included Emma Berman, Pyper Braun, Cruz Flateau, and more, with production by Sony Pictures Television – Kids. New episodes land Wednesday, 10/1.

Developed for Disney Junior with 11–minute missions grouped into half-hour installments, the show has expanded season by season with evolving villain line-ups and musical cues tailored for early learners. The series has been renewed multiple times through 2025, reflecting its strong reception with families.

‘Halloween Wars’ (2011– )

'Halloween Wars' (2011– )
Super Delicious Productions

This long-running Food Network competition assembles teams of pumpkin carvers, cake artists, and sugar sculptors to build large-scale, story-driven Halloween displays under intense time pressure. Jonathan Bennett hosts, with Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira judging. A new season’s episodes are scheduled for Saturday, 10/4.

Each episode typically features a two-stage format culminating in a “Spine Chiller” showcase piece with a tasting element, and the season winner pockets $25,000. Over the years the series has featured special guest judges from horror and effects, and occasional format tweaks that keep the scares—and the sugar work—fresh.

The series typically runs two rounds per episode—“Preliminary Heat” and “Main Heat”—with themes tied to haunted houses, monsters, and horror tropes; recent seasons have experimented with high-pressure elimination face-offs among the lowest-scoring bakers. Across its multi-season run, the show has evolved its format while keeping its core confectionery craftsmanship front and center.
