IShowSpeed Claims One Anime Dominates ‘Naruto’ in Every Way
YouTube streamer IShowSpeed is well known for his love of anime, and he has made it clear that One Piece holds a special place in his heart.
During a recent IRL livestream, Speed encountered a fan holding a sign claiming, “Naruto is better than One Piece.” He didn’t let that slide.

“Luffy would easily beat Naruto in a 1v1,” he told the fan without hesitation. His confidence shows just how devoted he is to the series. Fans of Speed know this isn’t just talk, his YouTube banner is One Piece themed, and he has a collection of Luffy figurines.
Speed went further, claiming that One Piece is superior to Naruto in every aspect. “The world-building in One Piece is on another level,” he said, praising how creator Eiichiro Oda connects islands, arcs, and histories throughout the series. He believes Naruto doesn’t reach that kind of scale.
The characters are another major point for Speed. “From Luffy to Zoro to even the side characters, they all have so much depth and personality,” he explained. In his view, the cast is what makes One Piece a timeless story.
Even the long runtime is a positive in Speed’s eyes. While some might see 1000+ episodes as too much, he thinks it proves the series’ longevity and gives fans more to enjoy.
IShowSpeed’s comments highlight how passionate he is about One Piece and how strongly he believes it surpasses Naruto.
