Filming started on August 3, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland, under the working title Blue Oasis. Brett Pawlak is serving as cinematographer, returning from previous collaborations with Cretton. The Jackie Chan Stunt Team, known for their work on Shang-Chi, is handling the fight choreography. Production had to be scheduled around Holland’s other projects, including his filming for The Odyssey.
Glasgow’s city streets, including Merchant City and George Square, were transformed to look like New York City. Holland expressed his excitement about filming on location, saying it brought back the feel of making Homecoming, compared to No Way Home, which was mostly shot on soundstages due to COVID-19. He also said he was glad fans could experience the start of filming alongside the cast.
Some interesting set details have emerged. Photos showed armored vehicles with a red demon logo, which led Bradley Russell from Total Film to suggest that the villain Mister Negative might appear. A rhinoceros-shaped prop was also spotted, hinting at the possibility of Rhino making an appearance, according to Paul Trainer at Glasgow World.
Filming moved to other locations as well. Scenes were shot at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey and later at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. During September, Holland suffered a mild concussion while filming a stunt. Production paused until he recovered on September 29, but the delay was not expected to affect the release date. Around that time, Marvin Jones III was confirmed to play Lonnie Lincoln, also known as Tombstone. Filming also took place in Basingstoke, England, with Holland and Michael Mando joining later.
While Sadie Sink’s role remains a mystery, her presence has already sparked excitement among fans. The combination of a returning cast and new faces hints at a mix of classic Spider-Man action with fresh storylines.
