‘Claymore’ Anime Officially Leaves Crunchyroll Streaming – And Fans Now How a Massive Problem On Their Hands
Crunchyroll has quietly removed the popular anime Claymore from its streaming library, making it much harder for fans to watch the series legally.
Known as a Shonen Jump favorite, Claymore has long been a go-to title for anime fans, especially those who enjoy older series.
According to reports from accounts like @MangaAlerts on X, the anime is no longer available on Crunchyroll’s website. “At the time of this writing, it’s no longer available on the website but can still be accessed through Crunchyroll’s extensions with other services like YouTube Premium and Roku,” the source noted.
However, if the anime has been fully removed, it’s possible it won’t remain available on those services for long.

• You can "technically" still watch it via their Amazon Video Channel/Roku Channel (but it might get removed soon)
• With that said, there's now (AFAIK) no other legal way to watch the anime as of reporting pic.twitter.com/KdUL5Ti1Et
The removal likely comes down to licensing. When a license expires, streaming platforms often have to take the show down until a new deal is signed. This is a common occurrence in the streaming world, and unfortunately, classic shows like Claymore sometimes get caught in the shuffle.
Fans who still want to watch the series can purchase it on platforms like Apple TV, but it doesn’t have the same convenience as streaming it directly through Crunchyroll.
For viewers who relied on the platform to catch up on both new and older anime, losing access to Claymore is a noticeable gap in the library.
It’s always disappointing when a classic anime disappears from a streaming service, especially for fans who may not have other ways to watch it easily. Streaming licenses are tricky, and it highlights how important it is to enjoy shows while they’re available. Do you think Claymore will return to Crunchyroll, or is it gone for good?
