The cast of Stranger Things has grown up in front of our eyes, and now, nearly a decade after the show first premiered, fans will get to see the story come to an end.

Netflix’s hit series will release its fifth and final season in three parts, starting with the first four episodes on November 26. Since its debut in 2016, the show’s young stars have changed a lot—both on-screen and off-screen. Variety showcased comparisons during most recent premiere, and the differences are shocking.

Millie Bobby Brown, who was just 12 when she first played Eleven, is now 21. She has expanded her acting career with roles in movies like Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Electric State, and Enola Holmes.

Beyond acting, Brown has launched a beauty and fashion brand, Florence by Mills, and has tried producing. She also married Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, and the couple adopted a child earlier this year.

Finn Wolfhard, 14 when he began as Mike Wheeler, is now 22. He has continued his career in film, starring in the It remake and its sequel, as well as the Ghostbusters sequels. Wolfhard has also worked as a writer and director, and he is a musician, performing in bands like Calpurnia and The Audreys.

Noah Schnapp, who played Will Byers at 14, is 22 now. He has appeared in movies such as Abe and Waiting for Anya, done voice work, and gained a following on YouTube. He also launched a snack company and a virtual restaurant brand.

Caleb McLaughlin, 14 when he started as Lucas Sinclair, is now 24. He has built a film career with roles in Concrete Cowboy, Shooting Stars, and The Deliverance, having previously acted on stage, including playing Simba in The Lion King on Broadway.

Gaten Matarazzo, 13 as Dustin Henderson, is now 23. He has returned to Broadway with roles in Dear Evan Hansen and Sweeney Todd while also hosting the hidden-camera show Prank Encounters.

The older cast members have also evolved over the years. Natalia Dyer, who was 21 playing Nancy Wheeler, is now 30 and has appeared in projects like Based on a True Story, Velvet Buzzsaw, and All Fun and Games. She has been in a long-term relationship with co-star Charlie Heaton.

Joe Keery, 24 as Steve Harrington, is now 33 and has appeared in films and TV shows including Molly’s Game, Free Guy, and Fargo, while also pursuing a music career with solo project Djo.

Stranger Things has allowed its cast to grow into multi-talented performers, exploring music, entrepreneurship, and varied film roles beyond the show that made them famous.
