Kendrick Lamar Tops 2026 Grammy Nods with Nine Nominations
Kendrick Lamar is once again at the center of Grammy buzz, leading the nominations for the 2026 awards with nine nods, the Recording Academy announced Friday.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on February 1, where Lamar will compete for top honors including album, record, and song of the year.
Lamar’s nominations span several categories this year. His album GNX is up for album of the year and best rap album. His collaboration with SZA, “Luther,” earned him nominations for both record and song of the year, as well as best melodic rap performance.
Other nods include best rap song and best rap performance for “TV Off” featuring Lefty Gunplay, and “Chains and Whips” with Clipse and Pharrell. He also joins SZA in the running for best pop duo/group performance for “30 for 30.”
The rapper had a huge night at the 2025 Grammys, winning five awards for his hit “Not Like Us,” including song of the year, record of the year, best rap song, best rap performance, and best music video.
Currently, Lamar has 22 Grammy wins under his belt. If he takes home three more this year, he will surpass Jay-Z as the rapper with the most Grammy awards in hip-hop history.
