Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour Resolved Their Conflict Insiders Claim: Here’s What Happened
At the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown appeared friendly and supportive of each other, putting to rest any lingering tension rumors. On the red carpet, the co-stars hugged, took selfies with fans, and praised one another in interviews.
Brown told Entertainment Tonight, “I obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together… It’s been so special to have him along the journey for me.”
Harbour shared his admiration as well, saying, “I adore her, and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become such great artists… this particular project is so special, and we’ve gotten to know each other so deeply.”
The warmth displayed at the premiere comes shortly after a Daily Mail report claimed that Brown had filed a bullying and harassment complaint against Harbour before production began on Season 5. Neither actor publicly addressed the report during the premiere, and Harbour kept media interactions minimal.
According to insiders speaking to Variety and Deadline, the complaint did lead to an investigation, but it was resolved years ago.
Sources clarified that there were issues that occurred earlier in the series’ production rather than immediately before Season 5, and no conflicts have arisen since.
So basically, whoever gave the info to the Daily Mail lied since the original report clearly states that the bullying issue started just before the last season was about to be filmed.
Throughout the premiere, both stars praised each other, and series co-creator Ross Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter, “Nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.” The event also featured emotional speeches from the Duffer brothers, executive producer and director Shawn Levy, and Netflix executives including co-CEO Ted Sarandos and Chief Creative Officer Bela Bajaria.
Sarandos reflected on the show’s impact, saying, “I was in a magical place 10 years ago when Stranger Things was pitched to Netflix… our real moment was when we put on Stranger Things, a show that moved the culture.”
