Daredevil Returns: Sneak Peek at ‘Born Again’ Season 2 Released
Fans of Daredevil got a new at Charlie Cox back as the masked hero in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Empire released a new image from the series, showing Cox in his black Daredevil suit, and the show is already generating buzz.
Season 2 picks up with Matt Murdock recovering from a bullet wound inflicted by Wilson Fisk. Fisk, now the mayor of New York City, is using his “Safer Streets Initiative” to target masked vigilantes, raising the stakes in Hell’s Kitchen. Producer Sana Amanat told Empire, “The landscape was open, and that was so liberating. We were like, ‘We can do whatever we want.’”
Matt will not be fighting alone. Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones, adding her own edge to the story. “[Jones] isn’t necessarily a team-up kind of person. So the reason she’s back is because it feels very personal. She brings edginess and lightness — Daredevil can be very dark and dramatic, and she cuts through the BS in a really fun way,” Amanat said.
The series will also bring back some familiar faces, including Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Karen Page, even though Nelson died in the first season. Amanat explained that the team felt the show “could not see a Daredevil season without Henson having some involvement.”
Filming for the season started on February 28, under the working title Out the Kitchen 2, and wrapped on July 9. Production took place in locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan, with Hillary Fyfe Spera returning as cinematographer and Philip Silvera as stunt coordinator.
The second season will have eight episodes and is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2026. It will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a third season has already been confirmed.
