Billie Eilish and James Cameron Bring 3D Concert Experience to Theaters
Billie Eilish is bringing her concert experience to the big screen with a new 3D documentary.
The singer announced on Instagram that the film, made in collaboration with director James Cameron, will hit theaters on March 20, 2026, via Paramount. She shared her excitement about the project, writing, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on march 20th 2026 !!!! 🥳🥳🥳 this has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it :’)🎥⭐️🤭💙.”
The film was produced in partnership with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Lightstorm Entertainment. Eilish first teased the project during her sold-out Manchester shows in the summer, hinting at a 3D collaboration with Cameron. She told the crowd, “Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D.”
This documentary follows in the footsteps of Eilish’s previous film projects, including Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, directed by R.J. Cutler, and her concert movie Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles. Eilish recently wrapped up her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour with a final show in San Francisco.
Fans can expect an immersive 3D experience that captures the energy of her live performances and offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of her most memorable tours.
