Kevin Hart’s Uncut Response to Ziwe’s Controversial Parenting Question Makes Fans Like Him Even More
Kevin Hart shared his thoughts on the viral “gay son or thot daughter” question during his appearance on Ziwe’s interview webseries.
During the sit-down, Ziwe brought up LGBTQ topics from time to time, and one of her early questions threw Hart off a little. She asked him what his favorite letter in “LGBTQIA” was, and he didn’t quite know how to respond.
Hart answered, “the definition of it.” When Ziwe pushed him to explain, Hart joked back, “The fact that you would want me to answer that says a lot about you,” and then added that she was “the problem.” Ziwe laughed and asked, “I’m the problem?” Hart replied, “Well, I’m not going to say you’re the solution. Game on.”
Later, Ziwe asked him to pick a side in the “gay son or thot daughter” debate. Hart shut that down quickly. He said, “I would rather have two healthy kids. Like, it doesn’t matter to me.” He explained that putting children into categories like that says more about the person asking than the person answering.
He added, “I’m just telling you I think the real problem is in the thinker, not the answerer. The thinker.” He paused for a moment and told Ziwe, “Maybe you should just ponder on that for a second.”

Throughout the interview, Ziwe continued asking Hart about LGBTQ topics, including whether he would ever play a gay character and if he felt he owed an apology for his old homophobic jokes.
Hart said he believes in taking responsibility for his actions. He explained, “Well, you don’t have to constantly do something if you’re accountable and you are strong enough to stand in whatever the line of fire is to say things.” He added that he has been aware of his past mistakes and said, “Accountability is key.”
Fans reacted strongly online and had positive things to say about how Hart handled the moment. One person wrote, “Kevin really said, ‘I’m not choosing your messy options today.’ And he’s right.” Another added, “Beautifully said… Imagine bringing a child into this world who also has a journey into their life and you want to control that?….” Someone else joked, “ziwe tried to start a fire, kevin showed up with a fire extinguisher 😂… bro gave the most PR response of all time.”
