‘One Piece’ Season 3 Casts Its Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger
Netflix’s live-action One Piece is adding two more villains to its growing Season 3 lineup. According to updates shared from the production in Cape Town, actors Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head have joined the cast.
Awdo will play Mr. 1, while Head will take on the role of Miss Doublefinger. These casting reveals were shared by the production team working on the new season, which is now filming in South Africa.
Fans of the original manga and anime will recognize both characters as key members of Baroque Works, the criminal organization that becomes one of the main threats during the Alabasta saga. Mr. 1, also known as Daz Bonez, is famous for having the abilities of the Dice-Dice Fruit, which turns his body into steel blades.
In the source material, he is one of the most dangerous fighters Luffy’s crew encounters. Miss Doublefinger, also known as Zala, fights using the Spike-Spike Fruit, giving her the power to grow sharp spikes from different parts of her body. She’s known for her sharp personality, dramatic style, and tough battles with Nami. Bringing both characters into Season 3 hints that the series will dive deeper into the Alabasta storyline.
Netflix’s One Piece is the live-action remake of Eiichiro Oda’s global hit manga. The show follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young pirate chasing the legendary treasure called the One Piece. His dream is simple: he wants to become King of the Pirates. Each season has introduced bigger dangers and stranger locations from Oda’s world, and the next chapter looks like it will continue that pattern.
Season 2, which premieres March 10, sets up the crew’s trip into the Grand Line. The official description promises a tougher adventure, saying the new episodes will “unleash fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet.” It also says that the Straw Hats will explore unusual islands and face strong enemies as they move toward the world’s greatest treasure.
Many cast members are returning for Season 3 once Season 2 airs. Iñaki Godoy is back as Luffy, Mackenyu returns as Zoro, and Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar continue as Nami, Usopp, and Sanji.
Charithra Chandran will appear again as Miss Wednesday. Several actors from Season 2 are also becoming series regulars for the third season, including Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0 (Crocodile), Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday (Nico Robin), and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra.
More new faces are joining too. Cole Escola is stepping into the role of Bon Clay, and Xolo Maridueña will appear as Ace, Luffy’s older brother and one of the franchise’s most beloved characters.
