New Look at ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Teased With a New Poster

Lucasfilm has released a new international poster for the upcoming film The Mandalorian and Grogu, giving fans their a new official look at the next chapter in the Star Wars universe.

The movie, directed by Jon Favreau and co-written with Dave Filoni, continues the story from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2019–2023). Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin, also known as the Mandalorian, alongside Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Jonny Coyne, according to Lucasfilm.

Originally, a fourth season of The Mandalorian was planned, but production delays caused by the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes led Lucasfilm to shift focus to this feature film instead. The Mandalorian and Grogu was officially announced in January 2024. Filming took place in California, beginning in August 2024 and wrapping by December of the same year. The film is set to hit theaters in the United States on May 22, 2026, with an IMAX release also expected.

The story follows Din Djarin and his ward, Grogu, as they are recruited by the New Republic after the fall of the Galactic Empire. They face threats from remaining Imperial warlords, setting the stage for a galaxy-spanning adventure.

Fans can expect to see a mix of familiar characters and new faces. Sigourney Weaver plays Colonel Ward, a leader of the New Republic’s Adelphi Rangers. Jeremy Allen White takes on the role of Rotta the Hutt, the son of Jabba the Hutt, while Jonny Coyne plays an Imperial Warlord. Dave Filoni will reprise his role as New Republic X-wing pilot Trapper Wolf, and characters from the animated series Star Wars Rebels, including Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, will also appear.

The film’s release, paired with the newly unveiled poster, has excited fans who have been following the Mandalorian saga since its debut on Disney+. The poster showcases Din Djarin and Grogu in a dramatic composition, highlighting the stakes and scope of the upcoming story.
