Amber Heard has opened a window into her quiet life in Spain, sharing a holiday post that included old Thanksgiving moments and a rare look at one of her children. The update came from her Instagram account, where she posted several photos showing how she has celebrated the holiday through different stages of her life.

In her caption, she wrote, “Thanksgiving cheers over the years. A look back at all the full hearts and plates I’ve shared. Hoping you are well topped up on both this year.”

The images showed her cooking, preparing meals with her father, and posing with dishes she had made. One of the photos also showed her child sitting in a high chair during a Thanksgiving meal. Heard seldom shows her children online, so the picture stood out to her followers.

Heard moved to Spain in 2022 after her highly publicized legal battle with Johnny Depp. Media outlets reported at the time that she wanted a calmer life away from the United States. Her move came not long after she became a mother for the first time.

She welcomed her daughter, Oonagh, in 2021 through a surrogate and later wrote about the choice on social media. “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child,” she said in her announcement. “I wanted to do it on my own terms.” She also said she hoped people would understand that women can choose motherhood without needing marriage. “She’s the beginning of the rest of my life,” she wrote about Oonagh.

This year, Heard surprised fans by announcing that she had welcomed twins, Ocean and Agnes, also through surrogacy. She shared a picture of the babies’ feet and wrote, “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years.” The update confirmed that she had been growing her family privately while living abroad.

Heard’s personal life has been widely covered for years due to her past relationship with Depp. The two divorced in 2016 after accusing each other of abuse.

Their conflict continued into a major defamation trial related to an opinion piece she wrote in 2018 about surviving abuse. A jury later decided that Heard had defamed Depp in three statements, while Depp had defamed her in one. They settled the case after Heard dropped her appeal and agreed to pay him $1 million.
