Miley Cyrus is reportedly looking to reconnect with her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, nearly five years after their divorce. The two ended their short-lived marriage in 2020 after a complicated breakup.

Cyrus and Hemsworth first met in 2010 while working on a film together, and their relationship grew over the years. They married in December 2018 but separated just seven months later in August 2019, with their divorce finalized in January 2020. Their split was highly publicized and surrounded by allegations of infidelity and personal struggles.

A source told reporters that Cyrus feels the need for closure and prefers an in-person conversation over texts or calls. “She hates having things unsaid,” the source said.

Even though Hemsworth is currently engaged to model Gabriella Brooks, he is reportedly willing to meet Cyrus. The source added, “Liam hates confrontation and has avoided Miley since their split,” but he is now recognizing the importance of resolving past issues. Hemsworth has agreed to meet her the next time he is in Los Angeles, which has made Cyrus feel happy and hopeful.

Cyrus has also shared reflections on their relationship publicly. In a recent TikTok post, she described their early chemistry as “undeniable” and spoke about the challenges of their marriage. She said her decision to end things in June 2019 was influenced by both love and unresolved personal issues.

As plans for their reunion develop, both Cyrus and Hemsworth appear to be navigating a mix of emotions from their shared history. While it is unclear what the meeting will bring, it seems to be an important step toward closure for Cyrus.
