James Nesbitt Leads the Search in Netflix’s Intense New ‘Run Away’ Trailer
Netflix has released the trailer for Run Away, a new thriller based on a story from Harlan Coben. The show follows a father who enters a dangerous world while trying to bring home his missing daughter.
James Nesbitt plays Simon, a man who has been struggling ever since his daughter Paige left home. One day he finds her again, but she is in bad shape and surrounded by trouble. Before he can convince her to return, violence breaks out, and she disappears once more. This pushes Simon into a tense search that leads him into places he never expected. His journey exposes painful truths and threatens the stability of his entire family.

The series features a large cast, including Minnie Driver, Ruth Jones and Alfred Enoch. Several other actors also appear in the show, adding depth to the story.
Run Away continues Netflix’s steady stream of Harlan Coben projects. The platform has seen major success with earlier titles based on his work. One of them, Fool Me Once, became Netflix’s most-watched series of 2024. Since then, Netflix has released Missing You, while Coben has also created Lazarus for Prime Video. Another Netflix project, an American version of I Will Find You, is on the way.
The new series is made by Coben’s longtime collaborators, including writer Danny Brocklehurst and producer Nicola Shindler. Quay Street Productions oversees the project, and several other producers are also involved.
Run Away aims to deliver another fast-paced, emotional story that fits with the type of thrillers that often succeed on Netflix. With the trailer now out, viewers can get a first look at the tense journey ahead.
