McDonald’s Brings Holiday Fun with New Grinch Meal Ad
McDonald’s is bringing some holiday cheer with the launch of its new Grinch Meal, and the fast-food giant has also released a fun commercial to promote it.
The limited-edition product became available at participating U.S. locations starting Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The Grinch Meal includes a choice of a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, paired with a new menu item called Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries.
These are classic McDonald’s fries served with dill pickle seasoning on the side, which customers can shake up in a McShaker bag for a tangy twist. The meal also comes with a medium drink and a pair of Grinch-themed socks, available in red, blue, yellow, and green.

The Grinch Meal first appeared in Canada in 2024 and was a hit, prompting McDonald’s to bring it to the U.S. Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald’s USA, called the decision a “no-brainer” given the meal’s popularity north of the border.
The newly released commercial highlights the playful, mischievous side of the Grinch while showing off the meal’s unique offerings, especially the interactive McShaker Fries. It’s a festive promotion designed to get fans excited for the holiday season and encourage them to visit McDonald’s for a fun and tasty experience.
