The movie follows Lindsey, played by Chabert, who travels with her family to Walt Disney World for Christmas. Her plans become complicated when she discovers that Philip, a man she once went on a bad date with, is staying in the room next to hers.
The official description explains that their frequent run-ins slowly change how they see each other. It says, “Thanks to some Walt Disney World magic, the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella Fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.”
Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott spoke about how long the two companies have been connected.
He said, “The history between Hallmark and Disney dates back decades, when a shared Kansas City connection and friendship between Hallmark’s founder, J.C. Hall, and Walt Disney himself led to our first-ever licensed products, including the very first greeting card featuring Mickey Mouse.” Abbott added that Hallmark is excited to bring that relationship to the screen.
Sally Conner, Disney’s vp of global content, shared why this project fits both brands. She said, “Storytelling is at the heart of both Disney and Hallmark, and that magic shines even brighter during the holidays. We’re thrilled that Walt Disney World will serve as the immersive setting for a Hallmark holiday movie.” She noted that the film will highlight the joy and festive atmosphere that many guests experience at the parks.
Along with the movie, Hallmark and Disney plan to release products inspired by the film next holiday season. These items will include cards, ornaments, gifts, and wrapping paper.
