Paramount’s X Bio Hijacked With Shocking Message
Paramount Pictures’ main account on X drew attention on Tuesday after a strange message appeared in its bio. For a short time, the profile showed the line “Proud arm of the fascist regime.”
The sudden change suggested that someone had gained access to the account. Not long after the issue became public, the bio returned to its normal description.

The timing of the hack raised eyebrows because it happened during a tense moment in the media industry. It was reported that one day before the incident, David Ellison’s company, Paramount Skydance, made a direct pitch to shareholders in an effort to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. This came soon after Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery reached a deal involving major studio and streaming assets.
There’s also a long-standing connection between Donald Trump and the Ellison family. In the past, Trump has spoken warmly about David Ellison and his father, Larry Ellison. He once said, “They’re big supporters of mine,” during a conversation with reporters.
Earlier this year, he also praised David Ellison as the new head of the combined Skydance-Paramount company, saying he believed he would do well in the role.
Around the same time, Ellison made headlines for purchasing The Free Press, a media outlet run by Bari Weiss. Reports said the deal was valued at around $150 million and that Weiss would take on a major editorial position at CBS News. Her first project in that role is set to include a TV special airing in mid-December.
Despite Trump’s earlier support, he criticized the Ellisons this week over a segment on “60 Minutes” featuring Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. On his Truth Social platform, he wrote, “My real problem with the show, however, wasn’t the low IQ traitor, it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air.” He went on to say the program had not improved under the new leadership.
